The forest began to regrow, but it knew it would never be the same.

Not long after sinking the roots took hold and I found balance.

She is the light in the darkness.
The wind pushed against my branches but my roots held fast.
She breathed in the mix of salt and wet wool and smiled. Purples pooled around her feet but somehow it always turned red again.
